Shrink your marketing!
I got this idea from my friend and Simplest Marketing Plan member, Antonio Meza.
I was “nudging” him, as I do every month, to start a newsletter, and he said (as he always does):
“I just can’t do a newsletter.”
“But,” he said, “I can do a micro-newsletter.”
“Do it!” I told him. And he did!
Here’s how to apply “micromarketing” to the three tools of the Simplest Marketing Plan:
1. High-Quality Content- Make 3 comments on other people’s LinkedIn posts
- Spend 5 minutes a day writing your newsletter
- Send a “micronewsletter” that’s just one paragraph long
- Take 5 minutes to read up on a potential client
- The next day, spend 5 minutes writing a personalized message to them
- Send a connection request to someone you’d like to work with
- Do a search for business groups that meet in your area
- Reply “yes” to a networking event and put it on your calendar
- Use my prompt below to ask Perplexity.ai to suggest networking options for you:
Prompt: I'd like to work with [insert a market or industry you’re interested in, such as “non profits” or “B2B software companies”] as potential clients. Based on what you know about me, please suggest ways I could meet them in real time and any upcoming events to attend, especially in [insert your location].
Do one of the above and call it a day!
It will keep your momentum going, so you can pick up the pace when you’re ready.
